      Re: RESPONSE!!!

Marc, Just remember you were the one who posted the 1 of 12 statement yet you provide no factual evidence to back up the claim. Yes these are NCRS guys and they deal in facts and documented proof. To the best of my knowledge not a single person has ever been able to provide supporting facts to substantiate a claim such as yours. The onus is not on the "NCRS guys" to back up your claim its on you. Be happy you have a car you yourself are satisfied with. I don't think the purpose of this forum is to gloat and make unsubstantiated claims. On the other hand if you can back up the statement with facts by all means enlighten us all. I sure there are many people here who would be very interested in that data.

        Re: RESPONSE!!!

        Marc,

You remind me of a guy named Tod who passed this way a year or two ago.

I'm really not sure why you posted the "information" about your car, but I assume you are looking for someone here to validate it. As others have mentioned, there is no way to accurately determine the number of cars that were built with any given exterior/interior combination. GM just didn't keep track of option combinations. If the individual who told you that was serious, he was not being truthful.

That said, I'd suggest you resist the temptation to insult the members of our organization. They really are very helpful and willing to share the information.

Enjoy your Corvette, it sounds like a nice car.

Did he offer you a fair price for the car?

Re: UPDATE ON '65 BB RED W/ RED AND WHITE INTERIOR

I remember years ago the little "Corvette Black Book" used to supply production/option ratios. I always wondered where they came up with their figures. I did a calculation on my car and figured that a 1967 Elkhart Blue big block coupe, sidepipes and A/C was one of 3 1/2. I always wondered who bought the 1/2. Then at Bloomington one year (when it was still in Bloomington) I saw a front clip for an Elkhart Blue 67 and figured that must be it.

Oops, I dropped my Rollin Rock

into the pate'. Marc you ought to go for that one on ebay as noted above. That way you'll have a mouse replica of your BB. It's got a radio delete with your color combination, it's probably one of a kind.

Seriously, we probably all have that rare one, the one that's rare to us. Have fun with your car.

                Well said tc.

                  William,

Now thst's funny! I followed the ebay link and that is a good looking car. Although I'd call it a tri-tone int.

Kevin, yours is a one of a kind

You know that c2registry.org gives you the %sold based upon your options if you register. My 67 based upon my package of options totals to 1.84% sold, which is in the order 1 in 420. Your's Kevin, with the AIR and other special options totals to 0 %sold, or I guess 1 in 1. Look it up, I did.

Maybe Marc ought to register his 1 in 12, and really find out how rare it is just based upon the options.

And with the history you have on it,

it's probably one of the rarest ones here. POPS67

Your right I missed it's birthday in Dec, but it's delivery date is coming up in Feb. Think I'll take it out to the dealer address on Van Nuys Blvd for a picture.

                                Re: RESPONSE!!!

I wanted to post a response earlier, but, was so drunk on beer I couldn't find my glasses. When I sobered up and found my glasses, I got the IV out, but, discovered I had a pretty bad case of heartburn from eating way to many salty pretzels. It then took a while to find the Rolaids and now I can't remember what I wanted to post about.

                                Regards,
