    Trim card & manuals

    I need a little information on some of the manuals and booklets needed for a 1972 Corvette coupe. I have a chance to buy a "TRIM CARD" part # 3913832 and dated 9/23/66. Would this be a correct "trim card" for my year vehicle? If not, what is the correct part number and date for March/72 born coupe? This should be part of the literature I should have for my vehicle, correct? Is this literature counted when your car is judged at an NCRS event?

    Thanks, Dave

      Just to clarify...since I'm a NCRS newbie....Was that a "yes to all my questions"? Does *NM* mean...new message?

      Thanks, Dave

        NM=no message

        It means there is no text in the message box. The entire message is in the title.

          Be careful there are fakes out there, the old tea trick, check with a known original if you can.

            Look at the fonts and FIG STEP and NOTE on this original and compare it to your find, that's where I noticed a difference.

              Kevin, Do you or anybody know if there was a card or instructions for the installation and removal of P02's? I believe they mount differently than rally wheels.

              Thanks

                No PO2 Card was issued

                There was no specific PO2 card that I have ever seen but I'm not sure if the original PO2 cars had a trim ring card in the glovebox or not. Some original owner w/ a PO2 car could help.

                  My one-owner 1969 came with PO2 wheel covers and has the wheel trim ring instruction sheet among the documentation as illustrated in a previous post.

                    Robert: Just a sidelight. I just bought a set of P02 covers at the Fla winter show for $225.00 they are about an 7-8 out of 10 quality. I have always liked those covers even though they are really heavy. I would like to brighten these up a bit . Can they be disassembled, their seems to be a clearance problem when trying to remove the back side? They really looked great on two C3's that were in for judging. Just thought I would ask- thanks
