For a 1974 Corvette convertible, I am trying to determine how many washers, if any, came in the cloth bag when the car left the factory. Note: I know the bag contained 4 of the flat metal shims - I have the bag and three of the four original metal shims.
Relative to the washers, some who have responded to this issue in the archives have indicated the factory supplied 8 washers and others have responded that the factory only supplied the 4 flat shims and no washers.
Questions:
1. Can anyone who is a one owner of a 1974 state exactly what was supplied by the factory for seat shims? - ie 4 flat shims or 4 flat shims and 8 round washers?
2. If the factory supplied round flat washers, were they a special part or are they just typical hardware store round flat washers?
Note: As a point of possible interest, it is usually said that the cloth bag from the factory has a string closure at the top. The cloth bag from my 74' has no string closure at the top.
