    C3 Seat Shims and Washers

For a 1974 Corvette convertible, I am trying to determine how many washers, if any, came in the cloth bag when the car left the factory. Note: I know the bag contained 4 of the flat metal shims - I have the bag and three of the four original metal shims.
Relative to the washers, some who have responded to this issue in the archives have indicated the factory supplied 8 washers and others have responded that the factory only supplied the 4 flat shims and no washers.
    Questions:
    1. Can anyone who is a one owner of a 1974 state exactly what was supplied by the factory for seat shims? - ie 4 flat shims or 4 flat shims and 8 round washers?
    2. If the factory supplied round flat washers, were they a special part or are they just typical hardware store round flat washers?

Note: As a point of possible interest, it is usually said that the cloth bag from the factory has a string closure at the top. The cloth bag from my 74' has no string closure at the top.

    Hi Robert,
My 75 has the cloth bag with the string and 4 shims plus 8 washers that were never installed on the seats. The flat washers are the same thickness as the shims. I don't know if that's the same for 74.

It is the same for 70 to probably 77. 4 shims and 8 washers

Ken The washers are needed to make the seat backs lock as they would not lock with just the spacers. The washers are thick and can not be found at the hardware.

What do the shims look like? Approximate size, thickness, number of holes? My 30k mile LT-1 convert has 4 of what I think you're talking about, along with 4 washers, but I'm not sure.
          Thanks,
          Mike

A photo from the 1970 Registry showing the rectangular shims and original and repro bag.
