place bolts in tapped holes in cast iron portion of the pump, clamp pump in vice using the inserted bolts to hold the pump, then use a fiberglass or plastic headed hammer to tap on the stamped steel part of the pump to free it up from the cast iron part of the pump. good luck, mike
