      lift and floor

Spoke with a Gentleman years back who said he had 8" of styrofoam in his floor and he could sit on it in the winter. Rest of the shop had minimal heat.

On the garage doors and openers is it possible to have a door set up where rather than going up higher and under the roof in the garage (in my case a mezzanine with storage above) but instead go up and over it as I have the space up there. The track would have to go up of course and the motor system as well.

It is good to read the extended track scenario and see the photo I had asked and told forget it years back, that would be better than what I have but if I could keep going and right up over and above my mezzanine it would help.

        Warren -

Are you talking about an arrangement like this (not mine)? Another method for getting the door up out of the way if it can hug the rafters.

          Lyle,

Do you have a picture of your ceiling with the I-Beams that you would be willing to post?

          Sounds like a great idea.

            Driven at present?

            None.

The 71 is awaiting repair "someday" after hitting a deer in October. See below. It was my driver - and still drives fine - but it's ugly at present.
The yellow 72 is my Bowtie car and comes out of the garage only a couple of times a year. I drove it to the Indiana Regional last week, and it might not move much again this year.
The other 3 are my Dad's, and he drives the 02. The red 72 is one of those "perpetual restoration" projects and the aqua 92 doesn't get used much since the 02 arrived.

              garage door

yes pretty much I have a mezzanine there but as shown it would go up and over the front of it.

Thanks for posting that it will get me thinking,
