When pre-assembling the 58-60 windshield frame, what is the proper way to slip the top windshield U-shaped channel inside the semi-circular SS moulding, in order to have the U-shaped channel properly positioned so that both legs of the channel are on the inside of the SS piece? I hope I'm being clear! Those of you who have done this will understand what I'm talking about.
I'm having a hard time getting both legs of the U-channel to align properly. Only one leg gets aligned. The other leg aligns on the outside of the SS piece. It is hard to get the inside screw bosses that are welded ontp the channel(where the SS piece screws onto) to make way to align it properly. When I did this once before I ended up with the SS piece severely dented. Do I have to insert the U-channel into the SS piece from one end? This will be difficult due to the bends in the sub-assembly on both ends.
If no one understands what I'm talking about, maybe I can get a sketch made up and display it.
