Re: 63 Coupe overdoor weatherstrip screws

What do you mean "offer retracted"?
I hope Ken and Michael get their FREE 64 up orange plugs.
Ok forget about the trannie case refinishing since you weaseled out on your offer.
I sent Michael the pic of WS screws but knowing your track record of not following through on FREE offers its entirely up to him if he wants to post it.

Re: Cpe Dr W/S Screws & Orange Plug

John - Both Long Island and Paragon list the 63 coupe door weatherstrip screws (14 pcs) separate from the 64-67 coupe door weatherstrip screws (14 pcs), so there apparently is some difference. If you haven't tried them or you know they are not "correct," might be worth a try.

Two things on the orange plugs. One, due to excellent promotion and give away, I've had to put in another order for the orange plugs. Told the lady I wanted enought to fill up your old Towncar, but she didn't know how many that might take; so I said how about enough to fill up my 95 Caprice 9C1 and she said no problem. Hopefully, I'll have them for the Bean Town meet and we can see how many fit in your 63 on Saturday.

And two, Bob made a comment back on not needing one for his 63; so I'm doing up a banner that says "Say NO to orange plugs for 63s."

Good luck on the weatherstrip screws. Pete

Re: Cpe Dr W/S Screws & Orange Plug

Peter, Nice reply. Turns out my car has the 64 up screwsinstead of the '63 style. Just got the correct ones from LI. MH said one or both of the end screws are different butI will be happy to have all seven the same. Mikey said workers didn't always do what they were told. Sounds like us.
Meanwhile glad you bought a stock of orange plugs. Bring a big bag to Boston for me at cut rate prices. Hope they are cheaper than your wonderful keys!!!!
I read the highly detailed instructions for the Marlborough Regional and it says that car owners may be asked to leave keys at the gate or leave them in the car. Gas caps will be taped. So no one will know if the 63's have the small hole or the big hole. Figure you must havehad some imput on that detail.
Jorjorian expects a lot of free orange plugs for his '63's so stock up heavy. MH wants 4 plugs although he never gave a complete answer. Sandbagging as usual and won't tell me about the odd end screws. Just that they are not typical AIMS parts. Therefore no free plug. See you soon. Cheep dinner on me. John

Ken - I need to check with John but because you replied you might be on his list for a "free" orange clutch cross shaft plug. Pete

John - You have to be kidding. After I heard your secret to making FI units work great was to put them in the dishwasher, I don't know what to say!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pete
