    Stupid Tow Question # 1

OK, I have my 20' enclosed trailer and am getting it ready to use for the first time with the weight distributing hitch ect.
I know I need 10%-15% tongue weight on the hitch.
I obviously don't have much choice of where the C2 will sit over the axles but there is a couple of feet toward the front of the trailer.Once I get the correct location, I will bolt a stop block to the floor.

What is the easiest way to determine how much weight is on the tongue when loaded short of finding a commercial scale.

    Thanks
    Jim

Some ordinary bathroom scales range to 300-350 lbs and that should be within your target for tongue weight. Use the trailer's jack screw to lift the tongue above a 'stand' holding the scale and slowly take 'er down onto the scale for a reading...

Check an RV site for a way to double the bathroom scales range if needed.
