Get the car running and drive it for a while before you do anything. This will give you a chance to learn exactly what is needed and, more importantly, will tell you what does not need to be done. A vehicle is only original once and originality can not be duplicated no matter how much time and money is invested in the project.

Actually, it's a TERRIFIC idea.

The problem is, when we recommend it the vast majority of people ignore us and start the project anyway. Really.
But what good is the thousands of collective years of knowledge on this board, anyway?

One Other Question

I just want to know what you paid. That seems to be a no-no on this board and others, I assume it may be interpreted as being rude. Not my intent, I just always find it interesting.

David, not rude at all, mater of fact it might help others who are trying to buy one. I contacted a couple of local NCRS members and asked what would be a fair price for the car in its present condition. The consensus was 25k and thats what I paid.
