    67 trim rings

Is there a way to remove the flash chrome from the trim rings? I tried the suggestion to soak them in muratic acid for tem minutes. The fumes were too strong to get a good start with that program. This is with all the garage doors open. The only option I know of is to have a chrome shop remove them.
A local gentleman has done a nice job of buffing the rest of the stainless on the car, but he says the chrome is preventing him from buffing the rings.

Muratic Acid will do the trick but you MUST do it outside to avoid the fumes. If ten minutes isn't enough, go 30. Be sure to have a tub of baking soda/water to dunk them in after the acid bath. This will neutralize the acid. I use a one pound box of soda with 5 gallons of water for this. Rinse with a garden hose following both the acid bath and the soda water bath.
