C2 -What is this for on my 66

Can anyone tell me what this part is and does the resistor need to be attached to it. It is under the dash near the brake handle. When I reached down the "resistor" or whatever it is fell off. Help!

Is that your flasher unit for the emergency flasher and the condenser to keep the electrical noise out of your radio?

It used to be the capacitor for the radio

Thanks - do they go together?

I think these parts were connected. Is that correct?

          Harry,

Yes they were connected but not necessary. Radio equipped cars had condenser attached to many circuits including turn signal flasher. The condenser had 2 metal tabs that attached to the flasher terminal before attaching the connector to the flasher.

My 66 does not have the condensor. May cause some radio interference when turn signal is on.

          Happy Thanksgiving

This is the flasher unit for the turn signal and the condenser is part of the radio system.
