    Re: paint removal

    Rainer,

What color is it? Is it a metallic? The dirt can be sanded out and polished, the small nicks are in the primer, and cloudy looks are in the top coat (under the clear coat). Take the car outside and look at it in natural sun light, if you still don’t like what you see, the clear can be lightly sanded and then reapply the top coat and clear coat.

        Re: paint removal

        Thanks, Don and Ken,
The paint that was used is: DuPond Chromabase, basecoat-clearcoat.
My painter just called, and suggested the same as what you suggested, to repair the nicks, wet sand the entire car and re-shoot the paint. He stated that his paint booth is not "good enough", so I should have somebody else redo it, if I want a better job. Thats what I will do...
I will pay him the 5000 and chalk it up as experience.
Maybe it looks "acceptable" in day light, as you mentioned...
        Thanks again for your advise.

        Rainer
