    C1: Horn bolts

I'm in the process of rebuilding the old '59 Crown Sapphire and I didn't bag the horn bolds with the horns (dumb I know). What dimensions and head marking do these bold have?

    greetings,
    Rob.

        HHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!

        Appearantly this is difficult question???

I know on the inside there is a little plate rivetted to the body with a square nut attached. I just don't know the bolt size and head-marking...

        your answers are appreciated!

            Rob-

I am not sure I know exactly what you are looking for. I will post some pics from my 59. I think my horns are original. Let me know if you need some different pic angles.

Can you get the bolt size from the AIM?

            Russ

                    Hi Russ,

Okm, these pictures do help a lot. If I'm seeing it correctly there are no markings at all on the bolt...

                    thanks again,
                    Rob.

                        Rob,
I have done a LOT of research on the correct head markings on bolts for the solid axle cars. What you are looking for is the following:
                        Bolt head size: 1/2 inch
                        Diameter: 5/16 18
                        Length: 30/32

Head Marking: T (on the edge; with the base of the T edge of the bolt)

I hope this helps. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact me for either bolt head markings of with paint/color finishes.

                          Hi Richard,

                          Thanks for this info!!!

I've found two bolts which I believed were the onces which were used on the horns. I'll check tomorrow if they indeed have the mentioned T head marking (and sizes).

I might contact you now and then on one of the other bolts during the re-assemble phase (I'm afraid I relied a bit to much on my memory during the bagging and tagging process)!

                          greetings,
                          Rob.
