Re: reccomed someone to rebuild tripower carbs
Hi Brad,
IF you look on ebay under corvette tri-power, you will find tri-carb restoration services. I have spoken with a lot of guys about purchasing a tri-power set-up, and from what I can tell... Al Fierke at Chicago Corvette Supply REALLY knows what he is talking about. Give him a call at (708) 458-2500 tell him Jacob sent you. I just bought some heads for my 57 from him.
Regards,
Jacob Angel- Top

Re: reccomed someone to rebuild tripower carbs
I wouldn't give Al another dime of my money if he had the last Corvette part I ever needed to finish a restoration.
He may know a lot, but he sends out all his restoration work. Some of them that you get back might even work.
I highly recommend checking out some of the references in the Archives for people who actually perform the restorations such as Jerry Luck.

Re: reccomed someone to rebuild tripower carbs
I'm with Patrick. Three times same carb, parts missing, vacumn line put in threaded hole for solinoid bracket, dumped gas all over intake. UPS made lots of money and I now fix my own carbs.

Re: reccomed someone to rebuild tripower carbs
I have used Jerry Luck and he is good but also expensive and takes a long time to get your carbs back. I now use a guy in PA who does great work, is much less expensive and gets them done in a couple of weeks. His name is Mike at Avanti Performance. His number is - (215) 249-9957- Top

Re: reccomed someone to rebuild tripower carbs
I used Daytona Auto in Florida and all three of mine looked awesome. I have also used Holley for my Mopar tri carbs and they looked awesome. I used Bob Kuntz and was NOT impressed. Daytona did a far better job.1954 Corvette #3803 - Top Flight 2012, Bloomington Gold 2012,

Re: reccomed someone to rebuild tripower carbs
Wow, I am blown away.... and now a little scared about the 3000.00 I just gave Al for my 997 heads.
Oh well... I can trust MY engine builder, and he will know if the heads are o.k. I will definately make a post on this board and let everyone know!- Top

Re: reccomed someone to rebuild tripower carbs
If they're anything like many of the parts I've seen come from him, they'll only cost you $10,000 total by the time they're working well.
Sort of like my $1000 Quadrajet....

Re: reccomed someone to rebuild tripower carbs
I just had the carburetors on my 1967 427/435 restored by Jerry MacNeish at
Camaro Hi-Performance. He did a fantastic job, they look and perform as new,
turn around was quick, and price was very reasonable. His number is
