This tag is on a car sold on eBay last week; convertible VIN 9872. VIN tag was attached with plain rivets, which I guess is OK, as Noland says mixed cases of plain and rosette rivets from about 7800 to 10000. But where's the usual space between the year (65) and body style (467) ? And why no "S" prefix before the body total of 3170 ?
Feb 13th (G13) agrees with convertible body total of 3170 St.Louis units (double this figure for approximate total of A plus S bodies, which is roughly 2/3 of total production, or the usual convertible-to-coupe ratio).
Note the droplets of zinc chromate primer on the bottom of the cross-bar.
