    Re: My new 06

Congratulations Roy!! I have a Daytona Sunset Orange 06Z06 Outstanding color. I just got a new Black Book and orange was the least chosen color. Go figure.

Roy according to the Black Book.... Coupe 930 Conv 517 Z06 282. I don't know if you noticed but when Chev. advertised alot were orange but Motor Trend and the other road test magazines used yellow or red.

                    ROFL!

Mike, I probably shouldn't ever let Roy know this, but if its color-matched interior parts, color-matched leather wrapped E-brake handles, mud flaps, spoilers with flashing LEDs, radar detector brackets, loud aftermarket exhausts, tuning and tuners, headers, "X" pipes, kewl different exhaust tips, coconut fiber floor mats, aftermarket wheels of every conceivable configuration in chrome, black, gray, (only to name a few), or a tiger tail for his gas door...then Corvette Forum is the place to shop.

I hope NCRS management doesn't ever "connect-the-dots" on what a lucrative market exists from the Corvette "owner-schmuck" with a pocket full of cash.

I understand you guys are just jealous and I now wont NCRS to recognize the 2006 Corvette, I'll help out writing the JM. When the judges were checking out the 55 in 05 they did get a kick and were fascinated with the accessories (took a long time on it) the 55 did get attention when I'd blow the (see the USA in your Chevrolet ) dealer accessory horn, because we drove to the meet we needed to leave the judging field each day for dinner and they said OK.

Ah, Roy,You Know We're Just Ribbing You...

                        Cuz' we like ya!

Me and you...we're 2006 Vette buds now. We'll just have to drive "The Best Vettes Yet" to NCRS meets and sign up for the "Sportsman" category...I think we can forget about keeping them until NCRS judges them.

Leeme see. Doc McCagh will be 'bout 84 or so years old befer they judges the 2006's. Ya reckon they'll have a class that we can use walkers and wheelchairs to judge?? : D:

Don't forget the carbon-fiber ashtray cover - that one literally turned into a technical article over there on how to install it.

HaHa I must have missed that one...Must be a follow-up to the "My ash tray door won't stay closed" post.

But then, I don't read them all...I have implemented selective filtration that passes over most of the bs opinion and lame "simple, in the owner manual, and already asked a thousand times" questions. For example, I usually skip over "What color should I order?" (WTH?), "Which suspension should I get?" (Are you ordering this Corvette for a gift??!! ), and "How much oil should my car take?...Dealer put in thirteen quarts!"

John, here's wishing you and your family have a happy and prosperous New Year.
