Can anyone provide me some measurements? To the center of the acorn nut that holds the shifter cover on, could I get measurements from the floor and then the base of the seat separator when it meets the trans tunnel? I'm trying to locate the center of the shifter hole so I can glass in a replacement piece I have on order. Mine was hacked up for a 4 speed when I got the car. If I have these two measurements I should be able to get the new part in the right location.Thanks in advance, Mike.

Wait for the replacement piece add the shift to it then the trans rod from the shifter to the trans linkage then try to locate it's position -

Roy, that would work if I had the linkage. That was missing with all the other transmission parts. I palnned on fabricating one once I had everything put back together. If I know the measurements, I can fix the trans tunnel while the body is off the frame, then fab the linkage or buy one.

When you rec the peice
you will see there is only one place for the shifter to go
I am sure we can send you pic of one without the carpet
