I understand that you need special bulbs to operate correctly with a ZN232. With the currently available bulbs, the flasher cycles to rapidly. Does anyone have any suggestions for this problem?

You don't need 'special' lamps, you just need correct originals. Check your copy of the owners manual and the lamp number will be called out.

If memory serves the factory originals were No. 1034 lamps and these were 'replaced' later in time with a more efficient, drop-in, replacment (No. 1157). While similar in candlepower rating and physical geometry, the 1034 lamp has a less efficient filament and therefore draws slightly more current. The blink rate of these old flasher modules is a function of branch circuit current flow...

Thanks for the response, Jack. I have been unable to find the 1034 lamps. All the usual sources show them as being replaced by 1157. Does anyone know a source for the originals?

Jack, Bill are they still available across the counter? Thanks to both of you for your response. Jimmy
