    427 mystery motor?

I have an interesting engine in my possession. I was wondering if anyone would know what it is or what it might have been in.

    Block casting #0256850, dated A 4 5
    Pad stamp 19450-39-B 5111608
Heads casting #3856208 also cast into the head 0-249573 S-3, no date

also the heads have stamped on the front outside of the heads LH

    19450-C, and RH 19450-C
Intake is stamped, not cast 0-258285 dated underneath 1-5-65
    Water Pump casting# 0-248 65 dated 10 21 63

I checked the bore and it is a 427. The intake is an open plenum and the heads are square port. I have many pictures if anyone would like to to a look at these for me and let me know what this engine might be. Just email me and I will send to you.

    thanks

Casting numbers that start with 0- indicate that it is a Chevrolet prototype part.

                  Jeremy,

Be sure your e-mail address in the profile here is correct. If it isn't, then Art's note didn't go the right direction.

Or, just e-mail Art from his profile here.

WO = work order SO= shop order

Art can explain exactly what they mean. He has much experience with GM. I'm sure he'll add his 2 centavos.
