I recently ordered from Corvette Central a properly numbered distributor band for my 1967 327/300HP with automatic transmission. They sent me a band numbered 1111194 with the correct dates. However, the 1967 NCRS Technical Information Manual and Guide lists a band number of 1111117 for base 327/300HP with standard ignition and powerglide (page 81 - Table Small Block Distributors). OK, so I should have band number 1111117, right. Well, I called Corvette Central to get the correct band sent and their technical support stated that the NCRS Spec Guide doesn't specify any difference between a manual and automatic transmission, stating that band 1111194 fits both, with the 1111117 reserved for the K19 air injection option.
So, my question is which is correct for my car 1111194 or 1111117. Corvette Central said they would correct it for me, if that was the case, but they wanted me to first find out if 1111117 is actually for the 1967 automatic 327/300HP.
Someone, give us a hand here. Thanks.
