Trust me guys I buy lots of cars. The lady gave me the last look and I couldnt hang. I went all over the car and just didn't think it was worth over $120k. I think I would have just driven it higher for the guy that bought it.

I agree! Need to do what is in her best interest. If she wants to give it away after that....that is her business. I would also give her time to settle her emotions. I know it is a dream to come across a car like that but not in that way.

I didn't meet the guy, but he was not a dealer, he was a collector and had been looking for one like this for some time. The funny thing about this car is I almost bought it in the 70's for $3k. I think the lady got a good price and the buyer was happy with his deal

I would tell any widow to sell a rare or low miles Corvette at auction and let the bidders decide what it is worth. The shipping and auction cost in this case may have paid great results. In the next few years we may see this Corvette change hands again and know for sure what someone will pay and it may not be what you thought it was worth. I am sure with two others of the same year you know the correct price for the condition.
