Tony - with the picture residing on just your computer (and knowing where it is and what its filename is) go to http://tinypic.com and upload it there, for free - upon successful upload, it will advise of a link address to the picture, which you can copy and then past into the "image URL" address box found in the post reply form here.
Here's the restored pass side firewall. It was very light after I cleaned up the area, so I just traced over it with another grease pencil. It is exact though.
Your body number of L383 is typical of the other AOS body numbers I have seen. Your body would have been number 6,383 in the AOS production sequence for 1967. L is the 12th letter in the alphabet multiplied by 500 for the series run, plus the 383 equals 6,383.
I found the job number in all the same places described in previous posts and one more on the bird cage under the top surround.
I had to replace the entire front clip on my 1964. I found the job number on the bird cage under the top surround on the passenger side next to the windshield corner. Interesting the job number on my car was 223, but the serial number on the car was 00224. The car was built in the firt week of production in September 1963. It also had a 63 glove box door on the car.
Interesting that the job number and the serial number did not match on the first 500 cars of production for at least my car in 1964.
