    Re: Giving up accessories & more pic's

    {I have personally tried to pick you up off the ground after a couple of these self-pity sessions}

    I just again read your post and know you mean well, I'm a big boy and respectfully don't need anyone to defend me weather you mean good or not. I would never expect or wont every one to agree with me by me showing off my accessories or talking about them. I'm not looking for people to feel sorry for me that NCRS doesn't agree. If people think that's what I'm looking for your so wrong! One time in 25 years I even entered showed my 55 and never planed to do again I 'm not looking for provably from NCRS or anyone els.

    I made a vary big mistake thinking of posting pic's and talking about them would led me to this crisis! people defending me! NO MORE!

          STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

          Roy,
          Please stop! Your making my hair hurt. Post on this forum, don't post, show your accessories, don't show them. Please just stop whining about it! A lot of times you post pics and say things just to get a rise or reaction from people and when it's negative you get your feelings hurt. What do you expect? You know exactly what the NCRS is all about,accept it for what it is.
          You have been around this hobby for a long time and have much to contribute but this is not it. This forum is about the cars, not the people!

            Judging gone wild how about no magnification!

            My biggest beef with the current judging process is that certain judges would like to use a 30x loupe to examine the microstructure of all the parts to determine if correct or not. Don't get me wrong, but my favorite cars are the totally unrestored (non trailer queens) like the 1957 fuelie ex-racer that was brought to the Orlando meet (by Joe?). I also like the nicely restored trailer queens, but would hate to not drive a car.

            I think if a part "looks like factory production to the naked eye" then so be it!

            The EXTREME level of anality (is that a real word?) that some members have is like the proverbial "bad apple" that spoils the barrel - too many potential new members go to their first NCRS meet only to think "Huh? these guys are sure hung up on the plating used on that ball joint Cotter pin!" and they just walk away! I bet the original meets in the 1970's and 80's had more of a "tailgate party" atmosphere that would have been more welcoming to the general public. I would volunteer to help with a tailgate party area at the next Orlando meet!

              Trailers don't have tailgates. They have ramps.
