Depends also on location of assy. stamp

In addition to Bill C's post (which will enable to determine 1963 calendar year, 1964 & 1965, or 1966, depending on the maincase casting # (top line, passenger side), the location will differentiate between 1964 or 1965. If stamped onto the driver side shifter cover machined flange flat (lower right corner), it is 1964. If on the passenger vertical rear edge to the left of the filler plug, it is calendar 1965.
