      Lyle:
I purchased the Paragon filter over 2 years ago so I would suspect that the new ones are all from the same source and are the painted lip, powder coated, yellower vesion. I'm going to check my invoices and find out exactly when I purchased it.

        Phil------

I believe you should be looking for a filter of the style I have pictured in "Additional Photo #3", above. These come up for auction pretty regularly on eBay. They usually don't sell for big $. Of course, once-in-awhile, some fools might drive the price way up on any given auction. Don't get sucked into that; don't bid on that auction; wait for the next one.

          Patrick and Lyle:
After I posted that I had bought a reproduction white PF25 from Paragon that judged fine, I searched through my receipts in my Corvette only file and couldn't find the receipt for this purchase. Then I started to think about it and came to realize that I didn't buy it from Paragon but actually bought it at a swap meet. I went to my parts storage shelves and found I had used the plastic bag that it came in for something else and on the bag was written "Rare NOS GM 1969 filter $12". I had assumed that this, like everything else at a swap meet, was that "rare" reproduction part. I bought it because it seemed cheap for even a reproduction and I could use it for show purposes or if I ever had my car judged. At least it would look good. But now, after the discussion here and after really looking at it, I think maybe I actually bought a REAL one by accident and that is why it judged well! As they say, even a blind pig finds an acorn once in a while. I appologize to all for posting incorrect information. I will bring this to the meet to get your opinion.
