I haven’t read much feedback, other than the C5,6 folk yuk-yuking about their CF, DV or CACA reserved parking areas. Nobody said I found a widget of any kind. Surprising? I don’t know. I found this photo on DV. There were 3 in their lot and there are more motorhomes in the distance, at least 20+. On the way to the MegaCenter we walked through the CF reserved parking area every 8:30 AM and 6 PM and their lot was big. But I never saw more than 10 cars in it and it was huge. I did not hear any complaints about the lack of parking. Nobody complained about anything but the lack of terlets. And a burn out area. Some recommended that there be music and more beer outlets. (Buds were $4, but I just looking)
It’s a nice place for a party. A golf resort with a pool, concierge, room service, tennis, ATM, Avis and more. The place is big but it never looked crowded. Except for 2005, I haven’t attended since 1993 when it was in Bloomington so I really have no basis for comparison.
I was surprised by the lack of locals attending like CRC, Caledonia and others but there was no shortage of polish, blinking key chains or other bling gizmo’s. These events have a carnival atmosphere, and are more regional gathering than national as in the past. I met some Europeans but also did not see many old regulars that are still looking down at the grass. When I said to Gary & Ken Nabers, see you in Carlisle; they replied we don’t go there anymore.
I was also surprised by the lack of any photos. So here is my take on this 35th annual event.

PS As you may know. 1957 was the honored model this year at BG. The link has 50+ pics from the BG Special Correction. It was worth seeing all these Air Box cars in one room. Probably more than ever have been together in 50 years. (Where was Chevycrafts Red, White and Blue one? It’s pretty too.) WARNING: these photos are branded. View at your own risk.
