        Re: You're all wrong

It isn't about speed, although there's never enough, it is about the crowd that gathers around the big block cars at shows. I had an LT-1 in the 80's and it was a dream to drive and play with. But at local shows the people would casually walk by and go on over to the big block cars. So guess who now owns a '67 big block and loves it? FWIW Ain't life grand?

          Re: Their Arm Are Distended

          Jer,

Yeah, their arms are distended from pulling all their hair out after "holing" their irreplaceable big block at the local drag strip! Hee, Hee

              SHOWER USAGE

There were showers at both Mars and Boston campgrounds, it's just that nobody seemed to know how to use them! My upwardly mobile #2 son didn't shave for a week! Others followed suit!

              Yeah, the computer IS addictive.

Yeah I have a runaway passion for 62 Corvettes. (ever since I had a new one)

NO! Discussion board would be much better off without my BS. The ballast resistor really IS an analog computer (in a way). It senses current, adjusts it's resistance to maintain a given temperature, and gives the hotest spark possible for any RPM.

Gotta run! there's more posts to be answered, more eBay to examine, more chat rooms to visit, more $548.00 phone charges for computer hook-ups to Madagascar!

              Varooom!

                Re: Rat Motors

we geared our BB to turn 7500/8000 rpm in the drag cars.these were 3.76 stroke engines. the 4" stroke engines we ran at 7000/7500 through the traps.

                  21 MPG and YES...87 octane

87 octane worked just fine until that fateful WOT day with the kid in the camero.

                    CUBIC INCH WHINERS.

You bb guys ought to do it right! If you really want to exercise the bad judgment it takes to shoot a rabbit with an elephant gun then why not go with a Keith Black and massage it a tad? You ALL whine because we get so very very much from our sophisticated yet simple and reliable, fuel efficient mouse motors.

                    Varooom!

I wonder if anyone will speak to me after these comments?

                      I QUIT!

No more posts about bb vs sb. I mean it! Nothing anyone posts will cause me to say another word on the subject. This is a dumb discussion, just like the high school kids get into. Ford's better than Chevy, etc. ENOUGH already!

                      Varooom!

                        I'll bet....

we can get you talking again, if we tie together the subjects of two notorious threads: big block heat transfer vs small block heat transfer!!!! Now we've got you. Can't resist can you?

                          Varooooom is bailin' out......

can't face reality that big blocks are kings and da chicks, let me tell ya about the chicks, drawn to the big blocks like magnets, regardless where they are parked, on the streets, in the shows, big blocks draw da crowds, unlike the puny little mice motors.

My good friend Fred, big time mice builder, long time NCCC RP racer, famous for kis Kahuna car, even admitted that the BB is one BIG motor, impossing at that, and WISHED he had built one for the Kahuna, this coming from a mouser.

                          So, there, Varooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooom.

                            Medication Adjustment

See if the doctor won't cut back a little on the medications George. You're dreaming. The babes are drawn to the 1962 with top down and a mouse roaring under the hood. That's Class, Sophistication, Finesse, Lust. There ain't nothing like it! This is ABSOLUTELY the last post on this stuff!

                            Varooom!

P.S. The original design motive for the big block was to have enough torque to haul around the three hundred pound chicks that it attracts!
