In your place, I would start the learning process, and DRIVE the car. That's a good way to evaluate the car for future restoration if you decide in that direction. It'll also give you a chance to find out if this is really where your interests are longterm. NCRS is not only about restoration, but driving and enjoying the old cars. Many members are now past the restoration phase...they just enjoy their cars, drive them to meets, visit with old friends, and share what they've learned.

The worst mistake anyone can make is to reduce a Corvette to "parts in boxes", and then decide they no longer have the resolve, fortitude, patience, or interest to continue the project. Once you're at that stage, you have "crossed the Rubicon"...you go forward or you get killed. Your investment in the car will be reduced to a fraction of the purchase price, and the car may very well end its existence in the parts market.

Good luck with your 62...And "Save the Wave".

Welcome aboard Sandra!

If I were you, I'd take up Dennis on his offer to help you with the 62. You can count the number of people with his level of knowledge on these cars with about 3 fingers.

Plus in terms of proximity to you, he's pretty darn close. You will never regret joining up.

Someone needs to email her the Northwest Regional registration form...that meet is already past the no refund date. Sandra, you're going to have to move fast...fill out the registration form and mail it in, pronto.

Northwest Regional Host Hotel...

The Enzian Inn, call 800-223-8511 for reservations. A block of rooms was held for NCRS until August 14...see if you can still get the NCRS rate.

NCRS registration desk opens from Noon to 6 pm on Thursday, September 13; this is where you pick up your badge, schedule, freebies, etc. Welcome reception from 6:30-7:30 pm...generally free snack foods and upay bar.

Judging starts Friday morning at 9:00am and lasts until 5:00 pm, and same schedule on Saturday. Judging for 62s is on Saturday. Try to meet your 62 Team Leader...maybe he'll be able to place you on a team as an observer judge.
