Re: Big FRICKEN mistake to loose Clem!
I guess one problem I have with being particularly sympathetic to all this is the fact that I don't see this website as being any more than a VERY SMALL component of the NCRS. Sometimes I've gone for months and not looked at it, but when the Driveline or Restorer comes in the mail I'm glued to em. My opinion is that the website itself could sign off tomorrow with little or no serious implication to NCRS because of what it is and what it stands for.
I guess if everybody here who's offered in depth technical advice decided they shouldn't be members because of it, we probably wouldn't have very many dues paying members. The NCRS has ALWAYS been about Corvette nuts helping other Corvette nuts.
Clem, I hope you don't leave us, but don't understand why you don't choose to be a member WITH OR WITHOUT the website, which again I just don't consider a major component of NCRS membership. It's about promoting the hobby, prolonging and preserving the old cars and interest in them for future generations and therefore seeing that it stays alive. I don't see any difference between requiring membership to post on this board and requiring it to have a car participate in an NCRS event.
