Ease Up On Him...
Denny, in fairness to Clem, he never "declared war" to need to make peace...He simply stated the facts as recorded in the Board meeting minutes and his position on this change. Others of us started the rancor and separated into camps expressing our preferences; it won't be the first time a percentage of the governed have been uphappy with change. It's a free country and Clem gets to make his own decisions...while most of us will hate to lose Clem and a few others from the TDB, that's what freedom of choice is all about.
Do you actually know of NCRS judges leaving the TDB over this rule change/discussion?...I would find that hard to believe. I wouldn't think you would have to worry about judges jumping this ship. If you're a judge in the NCRS, you've been in this organization for years, and you have never let $35 dues get in your way of being a member...more likely you wonder why everyone that loves the old Corvettes is not a member. Those of us that are judges are typically concerned with the whole car, where Clem's posts are helpful primarily with history and tips for unusual engine problems.
What Clem does with his personal time is really his business. There was talk earlier about us being "old" and "dying"...Dennis correctly pointed out that we're ALL dying; if you're younger, you just have further to go before it happens. When we die, our contributions will also die unless they have been recorded...anyone that gets the idea that the world can't live without their contribution is sadly mistaken.
