I made a note several years ago that the Paint Code was located in the trunk right hand side for 1958 - 1961 s/n 2000.
for 1961 s/n 2000 - 1962 it was located behind the passenger seat....how true it is, is a question? however; all 1962's that I have worked on, it was behind the passenger seat. Job numbers were on the driver side firewall, passenger door, behind the speedometer and upside down in the trunk.

Dennis, on my '58 the job numbers were on both sides of the mirror on the dash, both door hinge posts on the kick panel side, and on the tunnel just in front of the shifter/ashtray. Ted
