Syd, It is not from the convertible you mentioned, as the trim tag, under STYLE, shows 63 837 designating a coupe, it would be 63 867 for a convertible. Dave
I asked the seller why the VIN is over 8,000 units off what it should be for a mid-June car - here's his response:
"I'm just listing this car. I don't know about what you are referring to. I'm just listing this the best I know that is why I included the trim tags and the vin number. You may be right. I don't know...All the tags appear to be original
John, That is the kind of response I would have expected, that's why I didn't bother. In the description, he states it is the correct engine, not necessarliy the original engine. But, it would be kind of interesting to know what engine assembly date and VIN derivative (if any) is stamped on the pad. Dave
Dave, I have a 65 fuel injection survey since 1977 that has much of the same info. Would you like a copy? Maybe you have stuff I need. The survey has 490 of the 771 cars made with fuel injection.
