    67 L79 heater hoses

I am assembling the hoses in my engine compartment and have a few questions:

    1) The JG says the heater hose clips are a green oxide color. What can I use

    to replicate this finish?
    2) What are the approximate lengths of the heater hoses?
    3) A previous post states that the nipples coming out of the heater core are

a silver aluminum color. Mine are a plain brass color. Which is correct?
    4) The clamp kit I have has red spring clamps for the 3/4 inch hoses and

yellow cad spring clamps for the 5/8 inch hoses. Is this correct?

    Thank you for your time.

    Randy -

The heater hose clips are VERY dark green - I'd call it dark gray; a dark shade of cast-blast might work if the finish on yours is history.

Install the hoses and cut them to length when the routing looks good to you.

    Heater core nipples are brass.

    Corbin clamps sound fine.

      Thank you John.

I will have to dig into my collection of spray cans to see what I can come up with.

Lengths are from GM rounded to nearest inch

Never had a problem with those lengths for fitment.
