Re: Still 2 shades of blue somewhere ?

    Wayne -

As far as I know, all the interior components that are blue on a '67 are the same color blue whether the car has a blue/white 2-tone interior (450) or a solid blue (414 or 415) interior.

Re: 65 blue and white interior

      John,

Thanks for the information. Is the white color in the picture the low gloss or full gloss? Are the white quarter panels behind the seats low gloss or full gloss? What you have described is what I believe the Ditzler reference page mentions the items as "lock pillar return flange and cap (inner)"... correct?

      Thanks,

      James West

        Jack,

If I take both the Ditzler paint codes DL 9292 and DL 9248 for low gloss and full gloss black to an automitive paint distributor, can they mix the correct colors using these old Ditzler codes?

        Thanks,

        James West

          James -

The white is un-buffed lacquer. "Lock pillar return flange and cap (inner)" is correct (the cap is only on a coupe, and it's two-toned just like the pillar below it).

            John,

So on a Rally Red convertible with a black interior, the inner convertible top mechanism cover (quarter panel) would also be the full gloss black, un-buffed lacquer to match the lock pillar return flange?

James, the best they can do with the old colors will be offset colors, sometimes OK, sometimes not even close.

Yes, that's correct - the quarter trim panel matches the inboard side of the lock pillar return flange.
