    C-1 C-2 or ? distributor

    HELP
I have this dist that looks like a 1111011 that is NO VACUMM ADVANCE SLOT.
it also has NO OIL HOLE that the 62 called for ((I believe thats correct for 62)).
markings on the housing are upside down 1 1
I was told that its a ZL-1 housing? Is that correct?
    Thanks Michael

The 1111011 is a mid to late 1962 Fuel injection distributor.
It has no oil hole but a pressure feed oil line and is a centrifugal advance dist, therefore no vacuum advance.
It has the drive for both a F.I. cable and a tach.

Thanks then this distributor is not a 1111011. But has no vacume advance slot in the housing, also the oiling hole for the housing is on top of the shaft not the bottom or both as in some cases.
      Thanks

        Michael--
Is the tag a rectangular tag with the numbers stamped down in (debossed) and it has a date code on it? Does the unit have a cross shaft that drives a cable off of each end of it? That's what a 1011 should have. Plus, a 1011 should NOT have a vacuum slot--it's a dual point, centrifugal advance distributor.

Thanks, I believe that it is a 62 non FI housing, it has no tag ?!(people).
But the only oiling hole for the housing is at the top of the shaft of the housing unit itself.
I was told that its a ZL-1 housing, but ?? I have never seen one.
          Thanks for the input.

The ZL-1/L-88 Corvette distributor #1111927 does have a vacuum advance can (ms 373-12), it serves no function other than to hold the TI magnet in place but the slot and advance are there. The over the counter ZL-1 distributor #1111263 had no slot for an advance can but has a ball bearing at the top instead of a standard bushing. Neither has a provision for oiling. What you have is probably a #1110985 dual poing dist, used on the `62 327/340hp and sold in the zillions over the counter by GM.
