C2 67 A/C SMALL BLOCK IGNITION SHIELDING

While trying to install the right front ignition shielding it interferes with the A/C bracket. Is this piece of shielding eliminated or is there a different piece or ?? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Terry:

When I got my car the shielding under the compressor was missing, but I got a deduction for it during judging, and when I checked the AIM it showed it being installed.

I was able to install a repro shield, but I recall that one of the brackets that holds the upper shield in place is mounted on a stud that replaces the forward-most exhaust manifold bolt. I had to remove the compressor mount to install the correct stud. Once I did that, everything fit fine.
