I'd like to start by saying I know that the cars did not originally have exhaust manifold gaskets.
I had planned on removing the exhuast manifolds to replace a broken stud that connects to the exhaust pipe. I also need to replace the spacer. While I had them off I planned to clean them as well.
There are currently no gaps or leaks of any sort between the engine and manifolds right now with no gasket. If I remove the exhaust manifolds, is there any chance that they may not fit properly when I go to reinstall them. Would it be bad/good or have no effect if I used a gasket before reinstalling?
Thanks
Ryan
