I have a non origional distributor and it has a hole in the top part on the distributor on the drivers side under the cap.Was wondering if somethig goes there or is this for adjusting the points?
I have been looking in catalogs and was wondering if the correct distributor is equipped with a vacuum advance of some sort.
Don't know about the hole right off hand, but the original distributer would have definately had a vacuum advance. All SB distributers for carb cars are interchangeable from 62-74. Advance may be calibrated a little differently on some models.
