Re: Do non-resistor plugs cause radio interference

All I can tell you is that the OEM '67 plugs were the non-resistor variety, as were those om my '63. As long as I ran the Packard EMI suppression wires I didn't have any radio buzz with non-resistor plugs. I once installed some "Packard 440" solid metal core wires and the radio was useless, even with all the shielding and ground straps, etc. in place.

                Lectric Limited Repro plug wires

I ordered some of the repro wires. Are they the same quality as the Packard suppression wires as far as radio interference goes?

                thanks, BK

My wires are Packard EMI suppression. I have no experience with aftermarket or reproduction wires.

Re: Where do you get the 44's?

Brandon- If needed, I can try to get AC R44's for you. Blue, white and red box. Bold green stripe on plug top, with smaller green stripes on plug body. Assume # 5613865 on box to be Delco p/n.

                        Same for AC R43's. p/n 5569992.

                        Advise if interested.

With respect to the gentleman who commented about plugs manufactured after a certain date not to be of same OEM quality, I'll leave that for him to decide. I don't have any basis to comment on whether or not these are true OEM's or late repros. Tell me what to look for; I'll be glad to see.

I have several sets of 44's for my 67 that I bought at Carlisle and Bloomington. I agree, they run to perfection on 67 L79. Of course, they are being fired by an MSD 6AL and TI distributor that I will remove if I get around to judging, but in the meantime, the crisp performance and clean running to any RPM I dare go is great!....Craig
