    overheating engine problem?

I recently put Allen's off-road exhaust on my 65 327/365. Since then, I have experienced acceleration that is slightly off and overheating that causes stalling (after at least an hour of driving). I never had this problem before. The carburetor, timing, points are fine. Could the new pipes have anything to do with my loss of acceleration and the stalling?

If you have a heat riser in your right hand exhaust, check to see that it's opening. You may have disturbed something during the installation. I usually eliminate teh heat riser altogether by installing a spacer (originally used on FI cars) or wire the durn thing open. The counterweight should be pointing down if it's opening properly.
