I am installing a new Dewitt top tank radiator in my 60. On the bottom of the radiator is a welded on piece of aluminum "L" channel - complete with three gussets - this is a real nice reproduction!! When I slide the radiator in place, the bottom edge of the "L" channel comes down direectly on top of the front edge of the recieving "U" bracket. Don't laugh! Is this "L" channel supposed to be bent inward a little bit and go inside the "U"? or should it be bent outward a little bit and go outside the "U" channel?

Re: 60 Radiator
Upon closer examination, this issue goes away if you get the “right” side radiator mounting bracket attached to the “right” side of the radiator. If you just quickly look at the two side brackets they appear to be the same, i.e. symmetrical top to bottom. BUT THEY ARE NOT! If you get them reversed, the whole radiator wants to sit about ½ inch lower than it is supposed to and the above referenced interference comes into play.
Oh well, if that is the only mistake I make on this project, it will be a big success!- Top
