Read Duntov's paper to the SAE if you want to learn about the advantages of disc brakes. (They hardly apply to C1 Corvettes in the new millinium).

Ironically, my 1962 driver presently has disc brakes installed. I'm going to replace them with the original Heavy Duty Brake system soon.

Make sure you sell the discs on eBay. Apparently there's a huge market out there for them.
