We seem to have a build up of wax or polish on our lacquer paint and cant seem to buff it all out.Its like and oily residue and after many attempts it just looks cloudy. Is there a good wax/polish remover recommended to strip it down so we can start over?? Thanks

Re: Wax/Polish Problem
Major paint jobbers have wax removers to clean residue off before working on paint to eliminate fisheyes when painting....I believe Dupont's is number 3139 or 3939, but each supplier has a product. Just look up and go to one of your local auto paint supply jobbers and they will help you out....Craig- Top

Re: Wax/Polish Problem
The 3939 will work ,you can also give it a good wash job with Dawn dishwashing soap. that will get rid of all the wax.. your problem might be the meterial you are using to remove the wax. 3M makes a yellow polishing rag that is great for removing wax & polish. it can also be used to clean your gauge cluster plastic. it will not scratch. works great on black & can be washed. you need 2, they are about &5.00 each .Bill- Top
