Go to Corvette forum and search for this post.

C1 & C2 Corvettes - 1966 seat track servicing info - I am presently going though the seats an my '66 convertible since I doubt they've had any maintenance since new. I removed the seats from the car, http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u288/BB767/Cars/1966Corvette/Seats/IMG_2634_zps961ef985.jpg ...removed the seat back...

Thanks Richard, this was the perfect piece of information.

To follow up, most of the corrosion was on the feet of the adjustors. I tried to mask the rest of the adjustor and glass bead the feet, but I could not keep the adjustor from becoming gritty with glass bead. I disassembled the adjustor by flattening the dimple shown in the Paragon instructions. I used a press instead of a hammer and it was very easy. The press was a little too aggressive in reforming the dimple, but using a hammer and rounded 1/4" steel rod worked fine, backing the adjustor with a 1/2" socket.

The seat adjustors have a grey parkerized finish that I did not want to destroy. I glass beaded just the corroded areas, and I found that Cast Blast was a good paint to refinish those areas and have then blend pretty well with the original finish.
