we used the campgrounds at the event site and found it very convenient. can't recall the fee but it wasn't outrageous. they have hookups for RV's. we walked from the RV to the judging field/vendor site. mike

Fellow members, it is 25 minutes on I-4 back to Kissimmee where you can stay from $35.00 to $65.00 per night. Stayed last year at the Sera Lago like that last 10 years for $35.00 per night. It's not the Hilton but it's not a dump either and the restaurants and attractions are close and familiar to all my NCRS friends. Some of us are creatures of habit as we frequent and eat at the same places year in and year out! Would not miss the evening at the Catfish Hole.
Please don't let the hotels drive up their rates like they do in Carlisle, PA. Just find one of the more economical hotels and let them get a block rate or go empty!!!!!

Joe, Seralago was always my favorite motel when we had it there in Old Town. Nice place.

Mike, Did you drive your RV all the way down last year? Any snow up there in MD in January?

Over the weekend I got in touch with the folks at the hotel I stayed at last year, The Imperial Swan. iIgot a call back yesterday from the Sales person. Today Ed Augustine, the FL Chapter Chairman, called in and got a discounted rate setup, $72/night. I called and registered this afternoon. It's about 6 miles to Sun N Fun from there, IIRC last year about 10 minutes.

Thanks Rich!. Ed has contacted 20 hotels in the area for room blocks, some had their act together and some did/do not. Hopefully the admin folks will set up a stickey and I will update that as soon as they do. Only 1 hotel has a shuttle. Its right off I-4 on County Line road. Good rates and nice place. Will post info in stickey. FYI the Sun N Fun gave us an additional 15 acres to play with this year which is more than Old Town had as a total. We have moved the corvette only parking to a more convent location and tightened the swap meet. There will be a street rod show on Saturday north of the swap meet on the adjacent 10 acres. They will be doing their own thing but hopefully it will attract some more vendors and car people. Parking will be charged on Friday and Sat for those not registered, however Corvettes parking will be free. Site layout will be posted in the stickey.
