    Rich------

I'm surprised that Holley still uses them. As I recall, at least one of the places I found the clutch head screws was the accelerator pump cover. The carb was a Holley 4053. I have a Holley reproduction here of a Holley 4803 (1971 LS-6) and it does not use clutch head screws on the accelerator pump cover.

      Rich,

      Here's what I did on my 3810:

      Here's a close-up of the screws:

One can buy the clutch head bit at most hardware stores (OSH in CA). I use the bit with a Tee handled driver.

I found that I couldn't get any torque on a few of the clutch head screws due to deteriorated threads an the screws and in the body of my 3810 dated 751. So I went to Orchard Supply and got the stainless steel screws slightly longer. With the fresh hard threads, they tightened up nicely. So I changed them all to be consistent.

I would advise anyone who is having flooding problems in the secondary on a 4160 to check the metering plate screws for looseness.

Here's what I had to do to get home from the store after flooding in the shopping center parking lot.

You should also check the link between the primary and secondary throttles to may sure the secondary is held closed at idle.

It is either one thing or the other. But I got it fixed now.
