    Re: Noland Adams RIP

I'm 63 years old and I've read maybe 2 dozen books that have seriously influenced my life. "The Complete Corvette Restoration and Technical Guide, Vol. 2" is one of those books. I accidentally stumbled on it in a bookstore and it led me to a hobby that has lasted 27 years (and counting). Thank you Mr. Noland Adams for "jump starting" that experience.

i have the greatest admiration for Noland and what he did to advance the hobby BUT Noland was not a founding father of NCRS. i'm not sure when Noland joined NCRS but after Sam Folz died in the 80's, the membership manager assigned #4 to Noland. Mike McCagh

        Re: Noland Adams RIP

At age 37 in 1999 I finally bought my 1st Corvette. That same Summer one of my pals took me to Carlisle & he said that one of the first stops we make will be at Noland Adams booth for his book. He was very cordial & he signed the book I bought from him. I use it often to this day. When you think about it, the cars are great but the people we meet & the memories never really go away.
        RIP Mr Adams

Only saw this thread today,.... Mr.Adams' passing signifies an immeasurable loss to anyone and everyone who is, or ever has been
actively involved in the Corvette fraternity. The knowledge and encouragement I acquired through his enthusiasm, research and writings
were major factors in retaining my long-term interest in the hobby,..... thank you Noland.
Sincere condolences to his grieving family.
