Re: What is this part?
Retail hobbyists paint all reproductions with the same brush, as most have little knowledge of who makes what – and how many different suppliers are present.
Those tie straps in this discussion were first reproduced by John Gasnecia (RIP). Who here remembers when they were introduced? Later by Richard Cohen (RIP). I believe Jerry Kohn may also. Also most recently by Bill Carangi. I’m trying not to leave anyone out, but since there are other GM car lines involved, there are more.
The last time I had these parts re-run: in the USA, in Connecticut, in Bridgeport at 25 Wells St. they were remarkably faithful to the GM blueprints in all parameters. Even the Charmin test. But I realized a long, long time ago that there isn’t a single repro that will be judged as 100% authentic.
Now back to the real query: do original White ones have an Fx logo?
