I think Gene's assessment is very accurate. There are lots of ways to judge a car, any car, whether it is a Corvette or a Ferrari. There are also just as many different types of associations, organizations, clubs, etc. Each of them will have their own guidelines as to what is "Perfect" in their world. NCRS and some others base their target on ORIGINALITY, whether is is BOWTIE or restored. If a car is presented to NCRS, thats the way it should be judged. Any over restored item, be it paint, chrome, or anything else should expect a hit. Don't get me wrong, I love the look of the "show cars", but you don't bring a baseball bat to a football game.
